I am happy to announce that my blog is now self-hosted! It was a random step really and a big one. A few days ago, I decided I wanted to buy a domain and put my blog on a website. I want this website to have everything about me from my writing, my blogging, my graphic design and even my crafting. I wanted to mash everything that is me into one place. I guess it’s like a mark of a new beginning. A step towards a certain direction that could be wrong or could be right, who knows?
So, I’m super excited! I got more of my crafting stuff in the mail the other day and in it there were two rolls of Tim Holtz tissue paper, some Stampers Anonymous stamps, washi tape and most importantly, my SMASH* Book. I was both excited and nervous. I’ve been looking at SMASH* books on Pinterest and YouTube, trying to see if I could get inspiration. When I was flipping through the pages, I was both intimidated and excited, ready to create but unsure how to start or where. Once I got the courage to create something, I got to it!
Of course, it was painful to cut into some of the pretty papers that I had but I finally got to it and here’s what I came up with! It’s not much but it’s a start I suppose:
Wow, well.. My first ever blog post on my crafting blog. I’ve stared at this space for some time now unsure of what to exactly write about. I mean I know what I wanted to write about, it seemed exciting and fun when I was thinking about it but now that I’m actually doing it, it seems less exciting and more ridiculous. Have you ever had one of those “It seemed like a good idea in my head” moments? Yeah.. I experienced it as I was typing. This particular blog won’t have any regular posts until I actually move into my new room so this is just an introduction so to speak, a start to the journey, the beginning of the adventure.
All jokes aside, I’m actually super excited because I bought my first ever crafting products, stuff, things what ever you want to call it, I bought it and I’m feeling quite giddy. I bought three 6×6 paper pads [that I keep constantly looking at and flipping through XD!], two of them from Simple Stories. I bought a bunch of chipboard pieces, light weight and medium weight, We R Memory Keepers corner chomper and some snail glue.
The paper is of course beautiful, the colors are bright and it’s just begging to be made into something! except I don’t know what to make first @-@… I guess I could start matting some pages for a little album or even a calendar or some form of small art piece but I don’t know.. there’s just too many ideas! and I don’t have any stamps or embellishments or stickers! but I probably can still come up with somethings.. I have an initial idea of what I want to make. Share some thoughts in the comments bellow, I love a good group brain storming session. Hopefully my second post will be the starting of a new piece that will lead to more.
